There is nothing more depressing than the day after Christmas. The stress and anxiety of Christmas planning is gone, family from far away have all left to go home, all baking is finally finished, and the tree is left naked with no presents under it. I want to thank all my family and friends for making this Christmas so special.
Although I really do love giving gifts more than receiving (and I’m NOT just saying this – it’s a great excuse to shop!), Santa (and others) did leave me some great little treasures under the tree this year. And I want to thank my friends and family for their generosity.
Here are a few of the highlights.
A dome cake platter from Fish’s Eddy! (Thanks Mom!)
I snagged this gem in the annual family grab bag – it’s been on my “to read” list for weeks.
Roll up flats – the best invention ever! They roll up perfectly to fit in a small bag for when your feet are in total agony after a night in heels.
A Louis Vuitton coin purse from the boyfriend :] I especially love it because it’s denim – different than the usual LV leather.
Anna Sui’s new book from my Grandmother! Other than the amazing pictures of her collections, it also talks about her experience in the fashion industry.
A cute cherry patterned apron to go with my cake platter.
And my favorite gift of all…
No, not a puppy, unfortunately,… But my boyfriend is sponsoring a sick puppy named Marty who has a neurological disorder in my name. He was rescued from a puppy mill and has various health problems causing him to walk in circles, stare in to space, and forget to eat. However, he is currently living in a foster home until he is adopted. And thanks to my boyfriend and others, Marty is able to get the care he needs.
Although I am so grateful for these gifts, I am even more grateful for the people who I got to spend the holiday with.
